Courses have now been approved for online training in Maryland. Pest control applicators can recive their recertification credits online through our website.
In addition, the completion of these courses can be used towards the initial training requirements for those individuals seeking registration as a Registered Technician. To become registered an individual must complete initial training that includes subjects on pesticide laws and regulations, label comprehension, safety and emergency procedures, proper pesticide handling and storage, pest ID control recommendations, pesticide application techniques, environmental and health concerns, and integrated pest management. If courses are used for Technician training, copies of the certificates do not need to be submitted to our office. These copies must be maintained by the company in their files and provided to our field inspectors by request.
All Applicators must make a 70% or higher on all exams to receive credit for the exams
